DABSCO are proud Gold Sponsor for 2012 of the Palmerston Cricket Club.  Similar to DABSCO, PCC has been long established  in Darwin, forming in 1985.

The club caters for many senior and junior players and currently fields six senior teams competing in the various grades available in the DDCC as well teams in every junior age group.

The club participates in the Darwin & District Cricket Competition (DDCC) that runs during the dry season (April to September) of each year.

The DABSCO Team recently attended the 2011 Northern Territory HIA-CSR Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards.  A great night was had by all.

The DABSCO Team were out and about again, competiting in the CLP Darwin Branch Golf Day.  

It was a lovely day out on the RAAF Base course, a few balls in the drink and on Bagot Road, oops!!

We however had a successful day and won Best Nett.

The DABSCO 7 A-side Wet Season hockey team are starting to show their age with a few injuries taking a toll on the team.  If you want to see some top qualtiy hockey (ha,ha,ha) the boys play Wednesday nights at the Mararra Hockey Centre 8.15pm.

We have been busy improving our skills this month with staff members attending some of the exciting seminars held by the NT Government through the Department of Business and Employment.

Kelly attended the Lisa Curry-Kenny "Business success and work-life balance" seminar.  The event was popular with around 500 attendees.  Lisa was very inspiring and quite a comedian.  It was amusing to see Lisa encouraging prize winners complete 10 pushups before she presented them with prizes.

Great evening, if you ever get a chance to attend one of her seminars do so!

On May 6th we held our third annual golf day, which was attended by 80 customers, suppliers and associates. Another great event that has really made its mark on the social golfing calendar. Next year I urge you to join in the fun and frivolity of the event and have the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Of course this event could not be held without the outstanding support from our generous suppliers Bradnams, Crimsafe, Danmac, Luxaflex, National Glass, Ullrich Aluminium and Channel 9. A big thanks goes to Captain Wayne Morris and the entire team from the Darwin Golf Club, the course was in great condition and everything went off without a hitch. Keep your ears low to the ground and find out some of the antics that transpired, it will give you something to smile at. Right Messer’s Nolan and Joraslafsky?

Once it did we could return to being busy again, and what a quarter it turned out to be!!!! This quarter and in particular the month of May was a busy one for all the team at Dabsco. We started off by holding a trade night in conjunction with a wine tasting event for invited builders, specifiers and architects. An informative evening was had by all and we thank those who attended and our suppliers who presented on the evening. A special thanks goes to Darryl Thomas from Thomas Chin who provided the ample wines on offer for tasting.

On Saturday 14th of May we proudly celebrated our 45th Birthday with an open day at our showroom and factory at Swan Crescent. We saw a tremendous turnout of customers throughout the day and we thank those people who attended and made the day successful. We had a sausage sizzle. Drinks, showbags, lollies and balloons for the kids as well as DABSCO vouchers to be won worth up to $4500.00. Plans are now afoot for our 50th birthday celebration, which will come around fast.
